    Too much iron with normal/ferritin? Feel like crap.

    I had odd iron test results and my doctor is taking an oddly long time in replying to my rheumatologist request to refer me to a hematologist. Perhaps my results are not a big deal?

    Iron = 253, ref range 27-159
    Iron Sat = 94%, ref range 15-55%
    UIBC = 17, ref range 131-425
    TIBC = 270, ref range 250-450
    ferritin = 60

    All fasting, no iron supplements. Is this not a big deal or is it the reason I have joint pain that came on newly when I went off prednisone 4 months back? Joint pain on both thumbs, index fingers, one random knuckle feels broken but looks fine, hip bone on one side hurts and heel bone on other hurts. I've been fatigued forever, sometimes think I cannot make it up stairs or high incline (I'm 43). Something needs done to fix me! Is it the iron maybe? Also have positive ANA and have hashimotos and taking thyroid med for years. One rheumy said I had Sjogren's based on symptoms, but new rheumy said she doesn't think I do, just fibromyalgia and Hashi's. Symptoms seemed to start back years ago, but everything got much worse about 2-3 months after getting the flu (a) a little over a year back.
