Hemoglobin @ 114 But Profound Fatigue

Any guidance or direction would be appreciated:

I had an unexpected bleed from a routine colonoscopy 7 days ago that landed me in the hospital for 4 days. The bleeding stopped spontaneously. My hemoglobin went down to 71 at which point I was given 2 units of red blood bringing my hemoglobin up to 100. Yesterday (day 6) my hemoglobin tested 114, but I am profoundly fatigued. Unable to care for my children, cook food for myself or even stay awake for more than ~ 2 hrs before I am destroyed.

I am a 41 yr old female, healthy, runner, good eating, excellent weight.

Could my fatigue be due to anemia even though my levels are this high? Any thoughts on why I am not bouncing back better if my blood levels are this high?

Hum.. Don't know yet. Have you had any depression or mental illness issues? That can cause tiredness. What was your gastroenterologist's report? Your primary care physician should know this. What about RBC Hemocrit. Do you happen to have your CBC or CMP?

Humm If you mean hemoglobin at 11.4% that's pretty low. Mine has been at 13% and lately at 14.6%. At 114 IDK you might look at that again. Unless you can have 114% hemoglobin.
