Anemia & anxiety- need advice pls

    Sorry for this long paragraph!!!
Last year I found out I was pregnant, when I got to the second month stage of pregnancy I started feeling like I was going to pass out a lot ( mainly at the shops) and I would always think itís my diabetes but my blood sugars were fine. I then got a numb tingly feeling from my lip to my chin which I still have three months later. I had a miscarriage At three months and lost blood for quite a few weeks & I had to have surgery as I had blood clots. A week later I had a bad panic attack ( I didnít no what it was at the time) where I couldnít feel my body and couldnít breathe, I felt like I was going to die or something, this happened twice and ended up stayin in hospital. I couldnít walk properly, felt fatigue, felt like I was going to pass out all the time and felt very weak. I had a chest X-ray and mri and it came back fine. My doctor told me it was depression and anxiety & I didnít believe that. I went to a naturopath and found out I was severely anemic! My doctor still didnít believe, after two weeks of taking meds and eating healthy to build up my iron I felt a lot better but my anxiety was everyday. I donít no everyday if I feel my anemia or anxiety. Iíve been on natural meds for about A month and been eating healthy. started counselling and reading positive books and continue with my natural medications. Iíve never had a panic attack or anxiety before so everyday Iíve been struggling to deal with the fact I have anxiety. I came on to this website today which gave me hope as I see Some people who have/had anemia also got anxiety and it went away once theyíre anemia did. Did anyone suffer from bad diarrhoea though? Iíve had diarrhoea for three months straight now and it started a few days after my surgery and the doctor doesnít no what it is?!
Honestly I believe sticking to a healthy diet and keeping positive will take you along way. Can everyone please tell me there stories with anemia and anxiety.
I hope everyone recovers from there anemia & anxiety! We can beat this!

Re: Anemia & anxiety- need advice pls

Hello positivegirll.... I am a guy that was just diagnosed with iron anemia.... wow. I will begin two and a half years ago. Woke up out of my mind and extreme anxiety. Never ever had it before. Going to condense here.
I had 5 er visits the next 6 months... terrible anxiety. Found I had encapsulated sinus infection, major surgery... infection was there like an enclosed cave for over 8 months and missed by two other specialist that actually scoped me. I was so much better after surgery. Still had underlying anxiety and kinda brain fog / depression some now. My biggest thing was I could not drive on the highway for long or I got anxitety. Could not work hardly. "Then found I had impacted wisdom tooth. Had to remove jaw bone to get it out and slight infection. They think it was leeching and caused the sinus infection and I also had horrible neck pain for this whole time.
I had this wisdom tooth out four weeks ago.... I do feel much much better but still that underlying anxiety, heart rate up wile resting is 92 or so.. not right. I woke up last week at night several nights with weird burning stinging toung and felt a little swollen....... Google it at 3 am......... iron anemia..... wow.... Went to doc and i wanted full iron test 6 of them. I am Iron amemic. Unreal..... It is causing all symptoms.... here they are.
Anxiety, tight neck, tachacardia (high heart rate resting), Laying on back gave me back muscle cramps and hurt hurt.... Brain Fog bad off and on. Dizzy driving and in shower and walking in WalMart..... Dizzy was off and on more sometimes than not. Dr has me on Iron pills and is watching closely. I did have umbilical double mesh surgery 4 years ago and have some stomach pain when I press... Dont know why I am anemic?
Strong possibility why......... I have drank tons of tea for years and recently with voda in it to curb anxiety ( I know not good) ya gotta do what ya do though. Well Tea like liptons (black tea) is the worst to have because iron does not absorb well ......... and to boot alcohol inhibits iron absorbsion also. How stupid I know but now I do. They are also making sure I dont have internal bleeding from mesh as to the reason why I am either loosing iron or the Tea / alcohol thing or all of them> >>>> I will stay in touch and let ya know if ya want.
Hang in there your not alone Ok?
