    Blood tests

I went for a blood work workup on Thursday last week and having veins no one can ever find, they only got a small amount of blood out of me, but the technician said she will try to make it work when she spins it, whatever that means! I see 3 of the tests in my patient portal, but the rest of them are not there. Has anyone ever had blood drawn and had to go back for an insufficient amount? Thank you!!

    Re: Blood tests

I did have that happen once... before you go for a blood draw, do you hydrate? I found that if I drink a half gallon of water before I go, it really helps. It doesn't matter if you pee it out, it will still hydrate your veins and help them get the blood flowing.

    Re: Blood tests

I do drink a lot--I drank 2 16 oz bottles of water that morning before I went--it does not seem to help-- and the rest of my test results came into my profile. Thank you for answering my question.
