Post Surgery postponed because of iron

Hi yall... Im new on this board and have a question...
First Im 39 and started menopause. ) bleed to "death a month or so at a time..) anyways I was supposed to have surgery on my neck th 17th. I had a blood test done for iron because I told the Neurosurgeons nurse what was up. So on the 12 I had the test doneand it was 9.4.

Is that bad ? So I had to go to my girlie DR to get on iron and make sure of whats going on. He put me on the Ferrous Sulfate 325 mg 3 x a day. Surgey is now the 31st.
Will my iron be built up by then ???Im gonna go do a test either Thur or Fri ???

    What is "normal "???

sorry to ramble...just anxious for surgery !!!!!!

When my anemia was diagnosed I was told that no matter how much iron you take, it does not help if you lack folic acid or B complex. I guess you could take an over the counter supplement like I do, but ask your doctor first.
