Thumbs down Acid Reflex and Anemia

I just found out that I am anemic and I did some research on the net and since I am taking Prevacid and Zantac for acid reflux I don't have enough acid in my stomach to digest iron. Now what am suppose to do? One pill is causing another problem. Should I just take the prevacid two hours before taking the Femagen Iron Pill?

I'm anemia too. I'm also taking Nexium 40mg twice a day plus a 150mg Zantac before bed. I'm still having a lot of burning. Everytime when I took iron, the afternoon or next day I'll have a heavy period. All iron lost than what I took! I tried before, just the iron unable to top up. The heamoglobin always retain at 9.xxxx didn't go up or down further than that!

See what the expert can suggest for us. Take care!

I've been taking ppi's, achipex, prontonix? and now prevacid and I've been feeling really bad lately. Always tired, my anxiety has gotten worse, I dont ever feel like eating among some other symptoms, im worried that im now anemic, since I was anemic as a child.

Yes, I feel very exhausted when I eat, especially chewing. A meal looks like taking me to have a 3 miles marathon. A lot of gas too!

ok people here is what i found out!! Taking PPI's for a long period of time stops the acid in your stomach. Then you can't digest nutrients properly. Then you get sick. I have stopped all PPI's (prevacid in the morning and Zantac at night) instead I am taking 250 mg of Magnesium. All of my gerd is gone and now I am digesting vitamins!!!
