slow fe on an empty stomach?

Do I need to take the slow fe on an empty stomach for it to absorb better? I am switching from ferrous sulphate, which I DO take on an empty stomach to slow fe. Just wondering how to take it...

It's always best to take *any* iron on an empty stomach as many foods interfere with it. However, a lot of people can't. But, I would give it a try and if you can tolerate it on an empty stomach all the better.

You said you are switching from ferrous sulfate to Slow Fe. Check you box, my Slow Fe made by Novartis says it is ferrous sulfate. Same ferrous sulfate just different release mechanism. I never had any stomach upset with slow fe. I have read that it is good to take the iron supplements with orange juice or vitamin c because it aids in absorption of the iron. Check it out on the net.

Osteoblast - I am switching because my stomach has really been irritated by the "regular" ferrous sulphate. I am hoping my body will like the slow fe more.

I hope the switch works out for you. The slow fe was easy on me and did have an effect. Remember about the orange juice with the iron supplement.
