Have Any Of You Had Your Immunoglobulin A Tested?

Hi there. It's been a little while since I posted. I have Low Ferritin and a B12 Deficiency. Last week I went to a Gastro. Doctor and he ran some blood work. He did the "Immunoglobulin A", "TTG Antibody, IGG", and "TTG Antibody, IGA" blood tests. Also, yesterday I had the Upper GI Endoscopy and a Colonoscopy done and he said that everything looked pretty good and that he did take several Biopsies but I won't know the results of the Biopsies for several weeks. I take it he is testing for Celiac Disease??

These were my blood test results:

    Immunglobulin A: 86 --- (81 - 463)

    TTG Antibody, IGG: 3
    < 7 U/mL Negative
    7-10 U/mL Equivocal
    > 10 U/mL Positive

    TTG Antibody, IGA: 3
    < 5 U/mL Negative
    5-8 U/mL Equivocal
    > 8 U/mL Postive

My question is, if I did not eat anything with wheat/gluten in it before the blood test, would that have affected the above results or no? I am trying to find information on the above tests, but am not really finding anything.

Also the Immunoglobulin A test that he did .... I was just curious to see if anyone had it done here and what was your test results, especially those here who have Celiac Disease? I know my result is within the normal limits, but it is pretty close to the low end. I would think "Normal" would be close to the middle of the range, and that range was: 81-463. OR, does that not matter with this type of test?? (Being in the middle of the range).

Can anyone offer any input on the above tests? Thank you in advance!!
