    Easy Bruising

Now another new symptom. Easy bruising. Can this be due to low b12 or ferritin or could it be caused by taking Repliva for low iron. Could this be from something else? New symptoms all the time.

    Re: Easy Bruising

I have an appt with my hema this morning, and I"m going to ask this very question. Normally my bruising is connected with my platelets, but I don't think my platelets are down right now, and I'm experiencing bad bruising. I'll let you know what she says.

Thanks- I have been brusing more than normal and I am worried. I have low ferritin and I wondered if that could be the cause or if taking Repliva is the cause. Let me know.

    Re: Easy Bruising

My hema had no answers for me today. My platelets were way up, which is pretty normal for me, as I have no spleen. She said perhaps my platelets had become unfunctional. She wasn't concerned. I don't think very much of her now for several reasons. 1. My ferritin level was 10, which she pronounced "good." 2. She always forgets I don't have a spleen. 3. She never has any insight into anything, and she also forgets that I'm not on Prednisone.

I'm seriously considering not seeing her anymore. Why pay more for the same info I could get from my reg dr?
