Supplements - is it possible to feel a bit better after only 3 weeks?

    Hi all,

My ferritin is 10. Hemoglobin 119.

I have been taking Ferrous Succinate 50 mg daily now (so that's one pill of 25 mg twice daily).

My shortness of breath and palpitations are still REALLY present, but I notice I am sleeping better. I have been taking the supplements twice daily for about 3 weeks now.

Is it even possible that at least ONE of your symptoms would start to get better within a time period of three weeks?

    Thanks!
    ~BeautyofSpeed~

Yes, entirely possible. I took a very small dose of iron at first (Spatone Iron Water in fact). My ferritin didn't raise but my hemoglobin did and I was feel quite a bit better in a few weeks. Not as well as I feel now, of course, but a noticeable difference.

My hemoglobin went up signicifantly, but am still working on the ferritin. Actually, within a week, my hair started to grow in where it had fallen out...but it was shortlived...within a month it was falling out again...Perhaps the introduction of the iron made it grow, but then realized how depleted it was?

Some people do feel better right away.
