    Unhappy breathing problem

First of all i'm new to this site. Ok i've had this problem from 17 upwards (now 29). I don't know how to explain it but i cant get my breath properly i have like pressure on my chest all the time. I have seen doctor's in the past and they have all said there isn't anything wrong with me saying it's anxiety (yes partly is that). It wasn't untill i moved here (wolverhampton) and saw my boyfriend's doctor and he said the same thing (anxiety) but my boyfriend said about seeing a specialist anyway i did see one, they done a blood test and checked me over. My blood tests came back and turned out i am an anemic i was given pill's to take (which i keep forgetting to take). Another time i went to see another speclist i had an ECG done, an echocardiogram, chest x.ray and they was all ok apart from the echocardiogram turns out i have a narrow heart chamber. This thing is soooo horrible i have. It has it's day's when it's not to bad but at the moment's it's really getting me down. I'm seeing another specialist in a few week's as i'm going ask about having another chest x.ray. It's almost like something is on my chest as i said before like pressure and it get's that bad when i go to get my breath i cant get it or at least not all the time. I don't know if it's something else or if's it's to do with my iron or maybe my narrow heart chamber or maybe both.

well.. if u were tested +ve for anemia then i'd make sure to remember to take your iron. i seem to get quite a bit of heart related stuff as well as shallow breathing from my low iron. i'm sure the low iron isn't helping matters so i'd address that with your dr. and make sure you follow up with regular blood tests to make sure you get back to normal levels.

as for the narrow heart chamber.. all i can say is that from my experience if you manage to get a lot of tests done, sometimes abnormalities or anomalies are found in our bodies. i'm not saying to ignore it- certainly follow up with specialists but try not to stress. stress doesn't help matters.

btw- low iron can also cause anxiety...

    best of luck,
    christine
