high mcv and mch, b12 and folate normal

Doc can't figure out why my mch and mcv keep rising above normal. I have been tested for b12 and folate, both came back normal in the upper end. I do have problems with keeping my ferritin in the range my hematologist like to see it. I am going in for more iv iron. I also found that my fasting glucose was now 114(85-99). I am not over weight, BMI 19 and I run about 3-5 miles most everyday. I also have hypothyroid, but tsh is now 1.0, so that is in a good range for me.
I don't drink, so it is not a drinking problem. It is kinda strange that I have low ferritin, but my mcv and mch would be high. Anyone out there have the same thing and could give some clue as to what it could be?
