    Large Cell Anemia

I take several maintenance medications, some of wich may cause damage to my liver. My PCP collects quarterly blood samples and so was diagnosed early.
All blood tests have come beck normal except for the anemia. The Bone Marrow Biopsies came back inconclusive. Hemotologist/Oncologist could find no reason for the Anemia. What is next??? Have headaches - getting a MRI of the Brain, there will be no dought I have one (I hope) and a chest xray.

    Re: Large Cell Anemia

With some anemias the blood cells get large. Have you had your B12 and folate levels checked at all? This might be a good place to start. Anemia causes headaches as well as a very large array of symptoms. I am glad you are getting all this done but in the meantime have them check your B12/folate and maybe even Celiac's. If you have no bleeding to be found those are some really good places to start.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, those have been checked. It feels like several quarts of blood were drawn, both by my PCP and Hematologist. That is what led to the Bone Marrow Biopsy. Headaches are frequent, along with fatigue. Also have had exposure to lead 40 years ago, those levels are also normal. Hematologist scratching her head.

    Re: Large Cell Anemia

Thanks for the reply. It seems like quarts of blood have been draw by my PCP and Hematologist. Even checked for lead. Except for the anemia all blood work is within normal ranges. This is what lea to the Bone Marrow Biopsy. Was wondering what else can cause Large Cell Anemia. Have headaches and fatigued.
