low B12

I started experiencing some nuerological problems 4 months ago--vision change, burning sensations, tingling and numbness, etc... Anyway, in all the blood work done, one of my doctors noticed my B12 level was 246, so she has me doing B12 injections. It is the cyan form. I have been doing them for two months, once a week. No difference in how I feel. My question is...if I'm having trouble absorbing B12, wouldn't it be better to take the methyl B12? And if so, how long would it take to notice any change in symptoms? Doctors keep telling me that it could be MS, but I'm hoping it's B12 related!
I would really appreciate anyones thoughts and/or comments. Thanks!!!

Re: low B12

I had low B12 as well. I haven't had my numbers checked in a while but I ended up using the sublingual cyan and my numbers went from around 240 to 800 in a month...I almost couldn't believe it and we tested twice to make sure the numbers were correct. Have you checked your levels again since testing low to see if they are going up?

Some people swear by methyl form and say it's the only kind that works. I'm on the fence about it since I had such great results with the cyan form. I can't really say it doesn't work because it did for me. I would say get your numbers checked again and see if they are going up and go from there, if you aren't feeling any better after 2 months of injections something else might be going on.
