    Anemia and alcohol tolerance

A few weeks ago I was placed on iron supplements (ferrous fumarate) as I was told by doctors that I was anaemic. I have no idea how long I was anaemic for before I actually found out but I've also noticed that in the last couple of months I have a much, much, much lower tolerance to alcohol than normal and seem to have very little memory of what happens after consuming alcohol. I realise that this does happen when you drink excessively but I drink no more than I have ever done but I seem to get far more intoxicated and behave very strangely. Could this be anything to do with the anaemia or the ferrous fumarate? Thanks!
