Difference Between Alopecia HairLoss & CTE

Does anyone know if there is a difference in the velocity of hairloss between Diffuse Alopecia and Chronic Telegen Effluvium?

I have been shedding for 11 months. My Ferritin was 14 when I started shedding and now it is 92. It's been over 70 since December...which is "supposed to be" the magic number BUT my shedding has not decreased AT ALL! So I am wondering if I have Alopecia.

I wonder if once you start shedding due to iron deficiency anemia if it EVER stops or are you forever cursed with hair loss.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!!

I'm not sure what my numbers were at the time but I had been on my period for 2 months straight and a month later I lost about half my hair in a three week span of time. It was very scary. I started a prenatal vitamin and my period stopped and the hair stopped falling out. It has started to grow back.

I bet that was scary. I wish mine would stop. My anemia was from frequent and Heavy periods caused by fibroids but I stopped them in September with an Ablation and have gotten all of my blood counts up including my ferritin but my hair continues to fall out. I get about 45 pieces every single time I comb it and over 100 every time I wash it... supposedly that's normal... but it isn't for me. My hair has never fallen out so much nor have I every experienced thinning of any sort until now..

    I'm so scared.
