Re: How to get rid of anger

Check with Health dept in your area to see if they have Anger Management classes or seek counseling on how to deal with your anger. You have taken the first step in admitting you have problems with your anger and that is good unlike most who deny it is an issue. Only you can open the door to areas of concern that bother you and take control of it so it don't control you to the brink of destruction cause if left untreated you may hurt yourself or someone you love...good luck....

Prozac helped me with my outbursts. Now my Hubby laughs and says nothing fazes me. Im so calm now its amazing. Obviously not the end solution but it may get you over the worst and all the while you could get some anger therapy. Good luck.

Re: How to get rid of anger

Don't forget that anger is a PHYSICAL THING. You don't have to be angry "about" anything, just as you don't have to be depressed "about" something. It's an organic disorder as well as an emotional one - you can't separate them!!!

I have dealt with anger in many ways, and I'm still trying. Anti-depressants help, avoidance of certain foods (especially chocolate), getting enough sleep, avoiding toxic people, quitting jobs that are making me miserable, doing yoga, meditation, etc. I don't watch the news, either. You need to try EVERYTHING you can.

Just don't think of yourself as a bad person because you're angry. Anyone who isn't angry these days isn't paying attention. But you need to manage it, and if I can manage it, anyone can!! Good luck.

Re: How to get rid of anger

Hello India,

Anger usually has underlying causes.

Saying that, there may be many reasons why your anger manifests itself in the way it does.

One can seek the help of a therapist or enroll in classes.

Regular therapy can help reveal many things about your propensity towards anger.

Take care,
