    Chest pain

    Hi guys,

I keep getting this really strange pain in my chest, feels like in the centre of my ribcage - what is strange is that I know the pain is going to come on because I can feel it in my throat and in the back of my teeth before it starts.

Everyone I've asked has no idea what it could be and hasn't experienced anything similar. I've gone to the doctors/hospital before (year or two ago) and had an ECG and it came back fine...

Really difficult to get into the docs atm with Covid so unsure if I should go try and go back again.

    Any thoughts?
    Thanks

Can last for hours sometimes, it feels like quite a full on dull pain.

How often are you having it, and did you have blood tests done as well?

I've had it for a couple of years but it comes and goes. I had a full health report last year and nothing to do with my heart flagged up from the blood tests I've had.

Cholesterol was slightly higher than average but nothing to worry about.

Hi...have you tried an acid reducer or PPI type med?
Have you seen a gastroenterologist or ENT?

Have you had a chest xray?

Have you had a stress test?

Sorry for all the questions...i went through the above testing. I have a friend going through what sounds the same...what has helped her is an antianxiety med that seems to help relax the area and lessens the attack.

Hang tough...hope you can get access to more testing.

    Re: Chest pain

Ive taken omeprazole before but didn't seem to stop the issue (i have quite bad acid reflux sometimes too so thought it may be related)

I take Zopiclone to help me sleep which is in the same wheelhouse as anti anxiety, guess it's back to the doctors!

    thanks for your help

    Re: Chest pain

2 things to ask for...to see an ENT for a scope to look at that area. To see a gastro and have upper scope testing to see if you have strictures or damage caused by reflux, and be checked for H. Pylori. Actually, your doc can do a blood test for that.

I hope you get some answers...please let us know.
