Does this indicate Angina?

Hello all

I recently went for a run (1.5miles) for the first time in a few months, and after about 10 minutes I experienced a tight chest, heartburn-type pains and pain in the jaw. At the time, I didn't think much of it, and on the following four nights I ran a further distance without any problem. Could this be Angina? Or does the fact that subsequent exertion gave zero symptoms suggest something else?

My doctor has arranged a series of cardio tests in 2 weeks time, as although I'm only young (28) I do have Familial Hypercholesterolaemia, and am therefore a high risk.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Being 28 and having high cholesterol probably doesn't make you technically "high risk". Do you smoke? Have diabetes? The jaw pain thing is the only thing that makes one think at your age might be worrisome. BUT the fact that you ran on subsequent nights with no problem doesnt seem to indicate your heart, angina usually doesn't just stop. It should continue every time you exert your heart if there is a problem, as I understand it. Maybe it is pure and simple heartburn. Did you eat close to running? Greasy, onions etc?
