    Thumbs up Re: Isosobride Mononitrate

I have been on that med for 5 years from the VA and was specifically told to swallow whole. I take my dose, 30mg in the AM and have been very happy with the results.
I do know that stress induced angina is very hard to diognose but my Dr ruled out heart issues, after my initial problems, and I have reduced my stress and been angina free for almost 2 years now.
I know angina is very scary and painful and I know also that my relationship with God helps my stress very well. If I can help of if I have helped plz let me know.

Perhaps you could get some Nitrostat to take when you have an angina attack? It is under $30 for 100, from what I can find looking on the internet, but you only take them if you're having an attack. I take both Isosorbide & Nitrostat. My bottle of 25 has lasted me for months. The Nitrostat you place under your tongue and let it dissolve. I know it is one more prescription, but since it isn't a daily pill, one bottle can last a long time.
