    Problems after Drug Eluting Stents?

    These drugs are immunosuppressive.
After getting two erolimus eluting stents I felt great for two weeks and then got an upper respiratory infection that is laying me low.
I know these drugs are designed to slow the immune system response to attack of the foreign object.

Has anyone else gotten very sick after having these DES stents implanted? I have felt awful for 3 weeks and I hope the coughing and weakness doesn't go on much longer.

I feel much better. Cough gone and energy level pretty good.
Probably the infection and the stents were just coincidental...perhaps not. Some things I will never know.
