    Zoloft and Extreme Insomnia

I spent 7 years on klonopin, which I tapered to a very low dosage, but then when I stop, I have issues with anxiety and insomnia (which is why I started it).

My doctor prescribed zoloft. I took it for 5 days and felt like I was on speed. The worst part of it is that I couldn't sleep at night - at all. I can sleep 2-3 hours if I take over the counter meds plus klonopin. I was prescribed 50 mg zoloft, but started with 25, and one day I took even a bit less than that because I already felt so revved up.

I don't know what to do, as the side effects can stay for 4-6 weeks. I simply cannot be awake and so revved up for that long, nor do I want to significantly increase the dosage of klonopin during that time.

I would ask the doctor for a script for trazadone. It's an old med. use to help
sleep. Do you take your Zoloft morning or night ? If, taking at night switch to
    taking it of the morning.

I take it in the morning.
I'll ask about Trazodone, thank you for the suggestion.
