    Advice for Anxiety?

I suffer from severe anxiety and am looking for any advice that may be helpful! I am 24 years old, but my anxiety started to become an issue when I was 19 and started college. I worried that if I didn't make a perfect grade in every class that my future was doomed. That is when I began Zoloft at an extremely low dose (12.5 mg) because I seem to respond well to lower doses of medications. It helped tremendously. I still had some anxiety but I was able to function. As time went on I would adjust my dose of Zoloft as needed (as recommended by my physician). I would take more during the semester and less during the Summer. College ended and anxiety related to school was obviously no longer an issue. However, I started to stress about anything and everything else, even while taking a normal Zoloft dose of 50 mg. My anxiety became my baseline rather than situational. Mostly I would stress about feeling "foggy" almost like a dizziness. I just didn't feel clear. My Dr. Thought it was my ears because they were full of fluid. I started Zyrtec D and that did help. But since then I have had an extreme anxiety about it coming back. And at times it does come back and it is the worst feeling ever. When it happens it is all that I can think about. I feel anxious, foggy, unclear, I am unable to organize my thoughts, and I feel hopeless. For the longest time I was looking for an answer for this and have seen numerous doctors. One bluntly said he didn't think the problem was physical but was all the anxiety making me feel foggy and unclear. I increased my Zoloft a little more and started taking Ativan as needed. The constant fear of the foggy feeling subsided for the most part... until I got pregnant with my son. The foggy feeling came back and I increased my Zoloft dose to 75 again once my OB gave me the ok. That mostly took care of the feeling. I would have a little here and there but not much. Since I delivered him, 7 weeks ago, my anxiety, along with the feeling of being foggy, has been at all time high but this time with depression. My physician suggested switching to Prozac since I had been on Zoloft for five years and I was game for anything that would make me feel better. I switched to Prozac 20 mg one week ago and have noticed a difference in the depression but the anxiety has become even worse. I have even started twitching and jerking (kind of scary). I saw my Dr. again today. She says give it a couple more weeks to work better as Prozac often causes anxiety to worsen before it makes it better. I feel like this is a good idea and she gave me klonopin while the Prozac has time to kick in. I also see a counselor to talk about my anxiety. A friend recommended taking magnesium supplements too. Any advice and support is greatly appreciated. I would love to know what worked for you!
