    anyone on trazodone?

i was prescribed this recently and i haven't started taking it yet
because i saw on the bottle it said i had to take it with food.
i will only be taking this pill before bed time, as i have sleep-anxiety
i'm a heavy teeth grinder and clencher

i also have acid reflux and i never eat before bed

has anyone had nausea when they take this without food?
i don't want to wake up feeling like i'm going to throw up every night
but it says to take with food- like it's important i do

so i don't know what to do, as my stomach needs to be empty when i lay down due to the acid reflux

would a small glass of almond milk suffice with this pill?

any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. thank you!

I've been on trazodone for sleep before. So, really all eating with it does is just slows down the absorption rate. It's mainly to try and help mitigate heady feelings that might occur from the faster absorption rate of an empty stomach. I never experienced stomach ache from taking the medication, even on an empty stomach, but I guess there may be some people that are more sensitive to things than me. So yeah, you should probably be fine with the almond milk, but if you get sorta dizzy or have any other heady side effects you don't like, then think about stepping up to a light snack of some sort to mitigate those effects better.
