    Extreme Anxiety

Four weeks ago I started having heart palpitations. I went to my doctor and found out my thyroid went from hypo to hyper. My medication was lowered two weeks ago. Heart palpitations are better but my anxiety isn't. I can't eat or sleep. I've lost 30 pounds in the past three weeks. My doctor says it will take six to eight weeks to feel better. I'm looking for advice. I can't go on like this.

I'm confused. You always have anxiety, the palps are causing the anxiety or the meds are causing it?

My thyroid was causing the pals. Now that is better. The anxiety started because I was having the pals and hasn't gone away even though the papls have.

Anxiety comes from a fear of no control over what might happen. You now have the palps under control -or getting there - so you need to focus on the positive that is happening as we speak. Deep breathing also helps....
