Re: concerta and xanax
Concerta is a timed-release version of methylphenidate. (I am not sure if I spelled that right.) That is the same drug as Ritalin. Concerta is just a unique time release version. It is odd that you posted this drug combination because I was planning on talking to my psychiatrist about doing this combination for me. I took Concerta several, several, several months ago to counteract some sexual side effects I was having from the antidepressant I was on at the time. The Concerta helped to minimize those side effects, but it made me wired. I am on a different antidepressant now, but am also experiencing sexual side effects. I am taking Alprazolam (the generic name for Xanax) for anxiety. I was hoping that I could take a super low dose of methylphenidate to help minimize my side effects, but yet not wire me up like the Concerta did because I was on 18 mg. of it. Sorry.....I went off on a tangent a bit.
