I'm wondering - those of you who had a bad time with Lexapro, what other meds did you try that you had success with? My doctor has a few ideas - Celexa, Zoloft, Prozac...... I'm wondering if I'll tend to be sensitive to any of those too.
Thanks for your info......

Re: Bad reaction to Lexapro - other meds to try?
How long did you try Lexapro? Most people have problems with it for a week or two. Beyond that, it tends to be very helpful.
I have taken Paxil in the past as well. I didn't notice many side effects from it initially like Lexapro. But I also didn't feel like it had very many positive effects either.

hi----i have taken almost every SSRI in existance with the same horrible side effects. i have much better luck with a tricyclic ad(elavil is the one i took) great drug for pain, insomnia, depression, anxiety. i thought lexapro, paxil and wellbutrin were the worse. just my experience.

to zoso
all meds mentioned are prozac type
you may do better by trying some other type of antidepressant, there are several
sadly, trying another type doesnt occur to some docs
