    Re: shakes

    Hi louane:

Have you tried a benzo like Xanax, Ativan, Klonopin, or Valium? My sister shakes all the time and it has nothing to do with her diet...it is all anxiety. She takes Klonopin for the shaking (her doctors call it tremors) and I think her other med is Zoloft. She still shakes, but with the Klonopin, she is much calmer. I take Xanax for anxiety sometimes and it really helps me. Sorry about all you are going through...best wishes to you.

    Re: shakes

Yes I also shake,so bad i had to quit my job as a hairstylist last year. I have been to many dr.s even a movement disorder specialist at the cleveland clinic. Nobody can find anything wrong, So I guess it's anxiety.
The only thing that has helped me is inderal la 60mg. That has worked a bit but still not enough to get me back to work. My shaking seems to be almost constant even when I'm not panicky, but I'm fixated on it constantly checking my hands. At times it feels like my shoulders are vibrating. I've tried other beta blockers but it seems only the propranolol "which didn't last long enough" and inderal were the only ones that helped. I just wish it would go away!!!!!
