    Zoloft beginning side effects

I was on Zoloft three years ago for a year and remember when I started I was real tired at first but thats all I remember. This morning I started to take Sertraline (Zoloft generic) again and have only taken 25 mg but I feel really sick/nauseated/stomach cramps. I dont remember this happening so I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this when they started and when it went away. Everytime I take a bite to eat my stomach really hurts. Its more annoying because I still have an appetite so Im hungry yet nauseated at the same time.

    Re: Zoloft beginning side effects

    Scott,

I had the same issue. I had taken Zoloft before, and a month ago when I went back on it I actually took the generic. For the first few days I got really nauseous and was really anxious too, but it went away complety after a week. I had thought it might have been due to the generic being different from the Zoloft, because I never had those symptoms on the Zoloft, but now the generic is working just as well for me as the Zoloft did, so I think it's just that my body's chemistry had changed through time, and reacted differently to the drug.

Thanks for the reply spring. I was thinking the same thing (I am on the generic this time). Around 11 this morning the stomach pain came back and has been here since. Its like a bloated/naseauted/gassy feeling. I'm hoping it subsides over the next few days.
