extreme anxiety...xanax hell i'm guessing...head pressure no clue

Been on around 1.5-3mg's a day for about six months. I post on the inner ear boards also cause I have dizziness but for a real medical condition for that.

My symptoms:
Head pressure, feeling numb, lethargic, slight pots of pain on the top of my head, weird eye issues, neck feeling of numbness and weird pressure.

All of this just builds up to more anxiety, and possible panic attacks.

Is this from XANAX?

Should I get off this and try to go natural. HOw do i taper off or can I quit cold turkey. I hate taking pills anyway...i'm 22 years old, never though my path would end up like this.

The first thing is DO NOT quit cold turkey! Especially being on such a high dosage. I was on a much lower dosage and the withdrawals were TERRIBLE. Granted, everyone is different, but it's ALWAYS best to taper with Xanax. I'm not a doctor, but try cutting your dose down by a quarter every week or two. It doesn't work for everyone, but it's a start. It's hard to say whether what you're feeling is solely from Xanax, but it sounds like a big part of it could be anxiety. Mayeb you're developing a tolerance to the medication. Again, I'm not a doctor. You should talk to him/her. Best of luck to you. Really. I know how hard it is to quit Xanax. It was hell for me.

I have a lot of the same problems as you and I am only on .25mg of xanax per day..yes I know , thats like taking a water pill but I don't like to feel all drugged up. I have incredible pressure in my head and chest , pains in my head and chest , my eyes are very jittery...they twitch ever so slightly that even though it can't be seen outwardly i can feel it happening. That may be from nerve damage in my a matter of fact the whole weird head feeling may be from my neck but its impossible to know for sure. Definitely taper off that drug slowly though.
