It's been a year and a half..so many dr's, same answer, ANXIETY. Please help

I'm an 18 year old male who is really active and a college football player but dropped out due to my anxiety issues which tells my mind there are a lot of physical things I can't do that I used to be able to. It started my senior year of high school when I was making frequent trips to the ER desperate for answers and getting nothing but, "it's anxiety", I've posted on here many of times and always gotten good feedback and now I'm back with a few more questions and concerns. My main concern is my stomach issues. I've had stomach issues all my life and don't think a nervous stomach is able to make it to where I can't even lie on my stomach without there being noticeable pain. I can't apply any pressure to my stomach and have abdominal pain every single day. I take simalase and peppermint oil to help with my so called "IBS" symptoms but they don't seem to work too well. I get horrible headaches which I haven't had for awhile that are just now reappearing and they are behind my eyes which leads me to thinking i have a brain aneursym/tumor. I just want my life back, I'm so laid back and want to be able to get back into school and back to sports. I have a major fear of dying and that the doctors are missing something even though I've seen neuro's, gastro docs, had numerous xray and mri and nothing has come up. Bloodwork is unremarkable, yet everyday I have ongoing problems, with zero energy. I'm miserable and sometimes feel the urge to give up, i'm not suicidal but i'm endured by all these horrible things that lead me to think what's the use? I have neck pains all the time, am constantly depressed, and just looking for a sense of security. I take klonopin twice a day and that helps, but I just can't convince myself it's just anxiety because I literally feel so horrible that I get it in my mind that there's no possible way that it could be just anxiety. The things is I never realized how big of a demon anxiety and depression can be until I got my first panic attack. If you could please give me some advice and guidance and also feel me in on certain symptoms and if your stomach pains relate or the headaches or flu like symtoms anything. please and thank you

    god bless.

I have the pain behind my eye thing right now too, and actually have had it for months now. Some days it hurts, others it doesn't. feels like pressure in my eye and hurts when i press by the top of my eye. it's only the right eye too, and now when i move my head/that eye real fast, to like pan around i see a white floater thing that seems to only happen around the outline of bright objects. I'm thinking it's from the blood pressure medicine i'm on, but i find it weird how it's only my right eye, and in that same eye i have the pain/pressure. When i asked my doctor too all she said was that it was also from my anxiety, and how i probably only notice the pain when i think about it, but that doesn't explain the weird "floater" thing i see. My mother thinks it's form of migraine headaches.

isn't it amazing too, how you'll have this symptom ( or think you have it) all anxious about it, then go to the doctor and they barely even look at it? and are just like " yea thats nothing" Like i have this white growth thing in the back of my throat that showed up out of nowhere and my doctor said it was nothing. LOL what the heck? well it wasn't there a few months ago! it's normal for some growth to show up?

I had it all thought man, and have been in the same boat as you worrying about every little thing man. Been to the ER a few times thinking i had a brain tumor/ couldn't breathe. I have the health anxiety bad right now, especially blood pressure/ heart wise and am actually getting a echocardiogram/renal sonogram done in a few days. But it's like if i even just think about my blood pressure i felt it rising! and my face getting all red and hot, thats how strong the mind/body connection is.

Like you for the past 6 months i have been in the never ending web of doctor visits for tests/ seeing specialists. You just have to take your doctors words, especially since you seen so many of them. You should feel better that you have gotten multiple evaluations/ opinions. I know it's easier said than done, but there is a reason they are doctors and we aren't lol. We need to leave them to the diagnosing and save all our worrying for when something is really wrong.

When I Was Younger I Had Stomach Issues Like Yours. I Went To A Lot Of Dr And They Found Out That I Have An Ulcer. From Worry And Stress. Now I Have Stomach Problems But I Feel Like Throwing Up All Of The Time. I Even Get Dry Heevs All The Time. So Of Course I Get Embarressed And That Makes Me Want To Stay Home. So Basically Everyday I Stay Home. It Is A Big Circle And It Really Takes A Toll On Your Life. I Would Trust The Dr. And Then Work On Getting A Way To Deal With The Anxiety. Therapy, Group Work And Even Medicine Can Really Help. You Should Really Just Try To Accept That You Are Okay And Only Need Anxiety Help. Its Hard, But It Wont Get Better Until You Do That And Really Believe That You Are Really Okay.

I'm on Klonopin 2x a day and it helps with the attacks and little anxiety bursts. I also take supplements for my stomach and have changed my diet COMPLETELY and nothing doing. I got a colonoscopy and upper GI which revealed nothing. I'm always in abdominal distress though and don't understand how nothing shows up when I feel so terrible. It's from nausea to cramps to muscle spasms, gas pains, anything! you name it, I got it. I need some sort of relief this prevents me from doing a lot of things.

    Thanks,

    Scottie Anders
