Klonopin - Anyone have these issues?

I've been on .5mg 3 times per day for just about 3 weeks. Panic attacks have been zero, but I am exhausted and my stomach feels like crap much of the time. Going to doctor on Thursday to see if he thinks I should switch. Should note, been on 40mg of Prozac for 8 years.

Has anyone had the tiredness, weakness, upset stomach from Klonopin, and if so, what did you change to that worked?

Re: Klonopin - Anyone have these issues?

Hi damone,

I also take klonopin. Been taking it for almost 8 years now!

But, what I want to say is that your dosage might be a bit too high which is why you are tired. Maybe try .5mg 2x per day instead and see how it goes?

I know at .5mg 3x a day is way too much for me unless I have real bad anxiety attacks. Than its not too much but on a 'normal' day I dont go over 1mg. otherwise i'm really sleepy and apathic. No fun!

Hope you get better soon

Similar for me when I was on that dosage, even at .5 mg at night I still had some lethargy, with 3 it was pretty rough some days.

Re: Klonopin - Anyone have these issues?

I've cut my pills in half, so I'm taking .25mg at breakfast, .25 mg at lunch, and .5mg at dinner time. I've learned that it really should be taken with a meal to avoid the upset stomach. I'm going to try and cut the dinner time dosage down to .25mg as well.

I'm also on 60mg of Prozac, so I've been pretty much out on my feet the past few weeks.

I have been on 1mg of Klonopin 3 times a day for almost 3 years. It is double the dose that you are on. I had the same side-effects as you say, but over time, my body adjusted and become used to the tiredness.... so now i don't feel as tired anymore. I still have the irritale bowels, but anxiety and panic itself can contribute to that in addition to the medication.
How many times can I break til' i shatter?
