Anxiety Seemingly Out Of Control

I too have a serious issue with anxiety which seems out of control at times. Had this for nearly all of my adult life. It effects me in my job though not enough to cause me to lose the job, but I literally become an idiot at times and it's very embarrassing and humiliating. I am seeing a therapist however and have my next appointment tomorrow morning.

Might seem like a silly question, but should I be on a medication? I will talk with my therapist about this.

I don't know if you should be on medication. Have you spoken to a doctor about it? I, too have a lot of anxiety which has seriously affected my life. I am not on medication. I've problems with side effects and am not able to take medication because of that. Good luck!

I find that if it wasn't for medication I couldn't have exited all these years, they have all kinds of meds. Start off with a mild one and see if it helps. You might see a difference in your behavior. Sure hope so. Nannywiz

Re: Anxiety Seemingly Out Of Control

Hypnotic therapy has been suggested by my therapist and he has referred me to a local specialist.
