I'm unsure whether I have anxiety?

Hi. I'm unsure if I have a form of anxiety.
I had a university interview today and as soon as my interviewer started talking to me, my mind went blank, I couldn't speak and my throat started to close up. I felt like I just wanted to burst into tears.
It's happened to me before, and I know what to expect now. It happened when I had an interview for a job and I used to get it at school if a teacher was angry with me or shouted.
My voice goes really wobbly and I just feel like I'm going to cry and afterwards the feeling stays.
It makes it worse because I try to get over it, and I tell myself it's stupid and then as soon as the person is there, I just cant help it!

In my opinion, it is something you should acknowledge. I'm sure just writing about it here helped you get some relief. It seems you react normally to a high stress situation. It is not easy to control how we react physically sometimes. Perhaps with practice you can handle situations a little easier. Breathing sounds easy, but if we can concentrate on it at times of high stress it can give us that extra oxygen to help our minds function better at the moment. In through the nose, deeply, out through the mouth, fully. Use a mirror to practice what you might say to that important person. Do it over and over until it is effortless. try to video your self and watch it until you feel confident. Work on your posture and speaking skills. Get a book about speaking and nervousness, maybe. Stay, hydrated and get your rest always helps before big events. Hope these tips help.
