Stress makes anxious, stomach ache, and fart
Hi, I have problems that doctors can't explain them.
I got these symptoms about 1 year ago:
Being in crowd or at any special time makes
1. My heart beats faster
2. I become panic and start thinking "Will this happen again?"
3. I can't find a good position to sit, makes me always change the positions
4. I lose concentration
5. Makes a stomach ache
6. Makes me want to fart
7. Sometimes I don't fart, it's like I push my stomach and my body on the seat and musty smell comes out

At first time, I thought it was just my feelings and it wouldn't happen again. But after that time, I couldn't sleep and started thinking about it. Now, I still feel the symptoms.

I've tried to go to physician specialist in internal medicine and he said no problem.

I went to psychiatrist and he gave me some advices. But, it doesn't work.
It makes me depressed and afraid to go out. I'm afraid of disturbing others because my problems.

Please help me, I really need someone to help me, because it makes me frustrated.
Any help would be great
Sorry for my poor English, thanks a lot

Anxiety will cause all the things you mention not least of all stomach problems.
Ask your Dr for a course of Xanax it is a sedative for anxiety and will help you relax.
I found just a short course helped me.
Good Luck,

Thanks a lot Solofelix

My psychiatrist gave me a sedative like Xanax, but he said it can be addictive. How about a therapy, hypnotherapy or meditation?

I don't know what to do and still looking for the answer :(

Thank you for helping, Solofelix

Re: Stress makes anxious, stomach ache, and fart
I had a mild dose of Xanax for three weeks, it was not adictive for that period of time.
I was told I could just take them for a few days at a time when needed, the dosage was 20 mg which is low but it did help.
Have you thought of trying Acupuncture, I had it a few times for Sinus and it did help. There would be no harm in trying the things you mentioned.
I wish you well,

Re: Stress makes anxious, stomach ache, and fart
I had exactly the same problem Jasa. And the anxiety used to be worse when i was in crowded places, especially indoor: bars, discos... and the more i was afraid to fart, the more anxiety feeling and the more chance i was going to fart. It was awful feeling.
I knew it had to do with my mind and not gastro/digestive problems, although i have also unusual high gas production(lactose intolerance and other stuff).
I went to a naturopath, that advocates "total biology", he helped me understand some of my anxiety and my feelings in social environment. I found out that my anxiety was based on some sort of fear of being close to people, like if they were predators, like the skunk that would release bad smell because he feels he's in danger. I did a lot of talking to my self when being in these situations, "there's no danger, you are safe, nothing will happen".

Today i dont have that problem anymore, and if it comes back i would know why.
The key is to find the cause of your anxiety and reduce it.
Good luck
