An arachnoid cyst developed after routine lumbar epidural

I am concerned. An MRI revealed a herniated disc at L5-S1 as a result of a car accident 6 months ago. I had two epidural injections with depo medrol subsequently. I had a new MRI done a week ago. The MRI revealed I had a new lumbar arachnoid cyst, which I am told developed as a result of the epidural not being done in the proper spot. The epidurals, I was told, were performed with fluoroscopy and with depo medrol. The symptoms I have are stiffness, aching and throbbing throughout my lower back. I did not have these syptoms before the injections. My question is will this arachnoid cyst and the accompanying pain eventually go away or am I stuck with it for an indefinite time. Thank you to all who read and/or respond.

I wish I could answer you. I had never even heard of arachnoiditis until a few weeks ago when it became a consideration that I might have it
