Re: Arachnoiditis
If you have ever even heard of this term before, it is a diagnosis no one wants to be told he/she has. It is a topic that is just beginning to make its way to the public, with quite a bit of information coming out of Canada.

I would suggest you do some research and learn everything you can pertaining to arachnoiditis, and then try to find a doctor that has treated others...which may not be easy. But first, I would suggest you get another opinion. Sometimes the term is thrown around a bit indiscriminately. I was told by one neurosurgeon that there was arachnoiditis in my lumbar spinal column, but several others did not agree, including the man who ended up doing my third surgery. I chose to believe him. Whether right or wrong, I have not been bothered by any symptoms and have not had pain since my surgery.

For your own peace of mind, and since many doctors are not that familiar with arachnoiditis, I would suggest getting another opinion before trying to set a course for treatment/management.
