This is my first time ever posting on this or any other site but I am worried about symptoms I am having and really don't want to worry my family with it.

I am 45 years old and in good health but I have lost 20 pounds in the last couple of months, I have been sweating at night for the last couple of weeks and my lymph nodes are swollen. This is usual for me with my lymph nodes they seem to always be swollen in my neck. I always seem to be nauseous as well, I do not throw up but I have that feeling everyday at some point. My throat is raspy lately and I always feel like I am clearing my throat and feel like I have something in my throat.

My father passed away with oral cancer and I am always worried that I will end up with oral cancer as well. I do not smoke or chew tobacco. I saw first hand how difficult it was for him to get diagnosed and it was missed by several doctors until they found he was at stage 4. Being caught so late left him with no chance and he passed away 8 months later.

Should I be worried or see how the next couple of weeks plays out and if nothing chances go see a doctor.

Better to go to Dr now, quicker you get it checked out the better, you then dont have to worry. Lymphoma is very treatable these days. I had symptoms for 7 years. Eventually diagnosed and treated. Goodluck, hope its just a virus.
