My question is my Cholesterol was given as 6.3 and am not sure what the units are. I read a few posts and what I seen to recall is everyone else's cholesterol reading is in the hundreds. Are we all on the same units? Thanks in advance

The US uses a different system than most other countries. We'd need your other individual numbers to determine exactly what 6.3 is but it would generally be around 240 or so in the US.

Hi,

Yes the US numbers are different. Can you post your TC/LDL/HDL and Triglycerides?

Most of the world uses mmol/L but the USA uses mg/dL

You can use a free online calculator to convert. I'd give you a link but I don't think we are allowed to here.

6.3 mmol/L=244 mg/dL

FYI: Most people will eventually grow arterial plaque with a TC of 244.
