I have just had a cervical mri and on my report it says,
Canal is adequate, reasonable preservation of normal curvature and posture. The upper cervical segments are normal. At c5/6 there is a central disc osteophyte bar that indents the theca but does not convincingly compress the cord or roots. At c6/7 there is a slightly larger disc osteophyte bar that flattens the theca and reaches without compressing the cord. There is no root compression. Cord signal is normal.
Conclusion; relatively minor degenerative changes at c5/6 and c6/7 without root compression.
I am 46 is any of this alarming?
I have a follow up appt next month.
