I am a 42 yo female who is in great health, other than bloating and abdominal pain. I have a 1 year old and a 4 year old. I'm really scared. Yesterday I was given a preliminarily diagnosis based on ultrasound of mesenteric lymphoma. I'm in the UK. I don't know what to expect. Anyone out there with similar results initially? Stories to share?

I had a similar diagnosis as a result of a ct scan. They will probably want to biopsy the nodes to confirm and to determine which type of lymphoma it is. Probably also a bone marrow biopsy. Then, depending on those results they will advise as to whether you should have treatment or watch and wait. If the nodes are causing problems, you may need treatment. It is very doable. Six months and you will be back to normal. Having young children may make it a bit challenging but as long as you have good support, all should be well.
