Hello, I'm Cheryl. The physicians assistant at my rheumatologist gave me these lab work results today and I'm trying to figure this all out.

They ran the new Early Sjögrens Syndrome test. The only abnormal part of that test was:

Carbonic Anhydrase VI IgG Abs -- 38.1

All other tests in that panel except Parotid Spec Protein Abs (which was <1.0) was a min. Of 3.4-8.7.

The Antinuclear Antibodies IFA came up with a centromere pattern ratio of 1:640. My Homogenous pattern antigen detected was DNA (ds, ss), Histone. Suggested disease association said high Titers - SLE

Speckled antigens detected were Sm, RNP, SCL-70, SS-A/SS-B with suggested disease associations of SLE, MCTD, Scleroderna, Sjögrens.

Nucleolar antigens detected were SCL-70, PM-1/SCL with high Titers Sceroderma Polymyositis/Scleroderma Overlap

Centromere pattern antigen was Centromere with suggested disease of PSS w/Crest syndrome variable.

Can anyone explain this to me in lay mans terms? Thank you!
