I have scoliosis due to 2 vertebrae being fused off center since birth it's never been bad. I've had muscled tightness but no real issues. This morning I woke up with my right side killing me I can't stand straight and walking hurts. When I looked in the mirror I look I have the worst case of scoliosis. My mid section is shifted way to the left. I was fine yesterday I just don't understand nor do I know what to do.

Welcome to the board. Is there anything you did recently that would or could result in muscle spasm or tightening of soft tissue? It sounds like your structural alignment is being pulled out of position by tight muscles/ligaments.

I would suggest using moist heat and the following exercise is helpful for any back/spine issue.

Lie on a flat, firm surface on your back, knees bent, feet flat on the floor about a foot apart. Place arms close to your sides with palms facing up. Be sure your body is lined up straight and pelvis is in a neutral position. Breathe slowly and deeply from th belly, and just relax. Maintain this slow rhythmic breathing for 2 to 5 minutes.

Try to do this several times per day.

For it to come on overnight, I can't believe it is something other than muscular. It may take several days to relax the muscles....if it lingers I would see your doctor or spine specialist.
