After doing a google search, I came across this thread:

It seems that some people don't respond to medication? I have been cleared of vaginal infection, but still sometimes get anal and vulval itching.

Has anyone had worms but have not responded to medication like Vermox?

A person needs to do more than just take a med for pinworms. Frequent washing of hands, wash clothes every day, change sheets daily, clean bathroom daily, etc. Do not eat after each other.

Everyone living in the house should take the medication at same time. It is easy to transfer worms from person to person.

About 2 weeks after taking medication, another round should be taken to get rid of the new hatched worms.

Wear gloves at night to keep from scratching and then transfering worms back to the mouth by touching face, etc.

Talk to your doctor about the second round of med and the time to take it.

A parasite cleanse can help reduce the problem. That is all I can recommend.Sorry that I have no info I am trying to get some myself!
