What is the diagnosis of this kind of cancer? My sis was diagnosed over a year ago and has since undergone surgery to remove it. She is scheduled to have radiation soon. We are black people, and this is so unusual, no one else in the family have had cancers before. Thanks in advance for your response. Wanda

I believe it is called Vulvar melanoma or something like that. Melanoma is very misunderstood. It can occur in ANY area of the body - it is a skin cancer and we are covered in skin. You can even get it in the mouth or nose. And it also can occur in any race. Dark skin, light skin - it doesn't matter.

I hope your sister does well. Keep us updated.

You can eye get it in the eyes. Follow up check ups are imperative.

I wish your sister luck, keeps us posted.
