I'm 18 yrs old and in college so this issue is making me very self conscious of how I look. My upper lip is very light compared to my tanned face. I'm not sure how this happened but its become more noticeable over the past year, and makeup wont cover it. A few years ago I shaved my upper lip a few times but now I usually pluck my upper lip, and now moved to threading, but the only time i used something else on my upper lips was over a year ago, I used a Sally Hensen's hair removal pen for facial hair one time. I didn't notice any discoloration then but I thought it could be the reason. Anyways, its just really noticeable and I have no idea how to get rid of it or at least cover it up.

If anyone has any tips, please share them.

I think you should not waste your time in deciding how you can hide your upper lips brighteness but you should go to see this problem to Skin specialist as this may be symptoms of skin infection.Although you have not seen it after applying any product but I think this is totally skin problem ..From my view you should not take any risk as this is your face problem which is most critical thing for us.
