I was wondering since Harry mentioned these, does the acidop.in the caps make a big difference and what is the long term effect from it if any? Thankyou,Krissy

Hi Krissy,
I thought you were taking Konsyl. What's wrong with it? My wife take psyllium in capsule form -4 a day --2 with breakfast and 2 with supper. The size is 625mgs --so she takes 2500mgs or 2.5 grams a day. Acidophilus if added to the psyllium does nothing but good by making sure you have the beneficial intestinal "Flora".

Hi Harry, thanks! the Konsyl seems to wear off here and there as if my body is getting used to it.So i bought Vitamin shop brand caps with acidophilus in them, they are 880 mg,is this too much? thats the only mg they had with the acidophilus 10mg. <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif">

Krissy-I don't know the dose you were taking of Konsyl but just work out about the same with the 880mg caps and consider the acidophilus a good bonus.I tried Konsyl and I don't like it---it doesn't mix very well and I inhale in the loose powder---not GOOD. One doctor I read about says take the caps before bed. I still take Metamucil powder in about a 3000mg(3 gram) dose in the evening.
Take care--Harry
