Hi there...
Does anyone ever have a problem with this? I sometimes seem to go through periods of having these strange little spots where a whole bunch of them fall out, and then are replaced by new ones! A few years ago, I had a very noticeable spot with no lashes at all, and I was very self-conscious until they grew back. I just noticed today that I have a very sparse area, and I'm worried that it's going to turn into one of those bald spots! Am I the only one with this problem?

If I were you, I'd make an appointment with a doctor (not sure what kind you'd see for this).... my aunt had the same thing happen to her in high school, and today, she has no eyelashes - not ONE. Nobody really notices, they all say "there's something about your eyes... they're so beautiful" but it takes quite awhile for them to notice (unless of course she blurts out that she has no eyelashes! lol). I can't remember what the condition is called, and although it's rare, I would still have it checked out - it could be nothing, or something totally different. I hope it's nothing. Good Luck.

Mascara might be the culprit. The cheaper brands can irritate the lashes. Or eye makeup remover, soaps. Drying can cause the lashes to fall out. The best thing to do next to seeing a physician is to moisturize the eye area and minimize makeup use.

I see this topic started quite a while ago, but I am going through a phase where my eyelashes are dropping out! I have never had this problem before. I am wondering if my mascara is doing it? I wear Rimmel, plus I use a make-up remover to take off my eye make-up. I actually have really nice eyelashes and can't bear to lose them <IMG SRC="http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif"> I was also wondering if there could be something I am lacking in vitamin and mineral wise? I take B vitamins, A, C, E, zinc, selenium, calcium, magnesium, evening primrose..........

Please, someone help, if you can!
