Since winter is coming fast, . . . and since dry skin accompanies it, I'm looking for the best, yet not horribly expensive, lotion to use on my face that won't clog pores and cause acne. What is your suggestion?

tea tree cream straight up!! It works wonders, good for acne :) .. although, it smells funny. But i would recommend it to anybody!!!!!!! You can find it an any herbal store, or I would imagine any place that sells lotion! It's reasonably priced too :)

Thanks! I have Tea Tree Oil Mattifying Moisture from The Body Shop. Would that be something that you say would work well?

Oddly enough, I recently started using Eucerin on my face. I have skin prone to blackheads on my chin & dry patches on my cheeks so I was worried that it might cause me to break out. It hasn't though. I've tried everything under the sun made for your face & haven't found anything I love. So far, Eucerin is great believe it or not. And if you have sensitive skin like I do it's perfect because it has no dye or fragrance.

I use Cetaphil---it works great. I am prone to acne easily and also have dry skin at the same time.

It works awesome for me. It is non-comedogenic, fragrance free, and 2 dermatologists (have only been to 2 in my life) recommended it.

I'm curious--did you get to try any of these products yet?

I have tried cetaphil. It doesn't break me out, but initially makes my face a little red.

It may just be an initial reaction. My face doesn't stay red long term.

Anyway, I have some so will keep using it. Thanks!

It's very hard to say what will not break you out because it just seems like everyone is different and there's always going to be someone that breaks out from just the most natural thing. Personally I'd go to the health food store and buy a small bottle of Jojoba oil. Put just a couple drops in your palm, rub together and rub on your face. It will feel oily for a minute but then will not feel oily at all. I love the stuff really! It should not cause you any outbreaks.

Many people are allergic to tea tree oil btw.
