So I think last night I feel asleep on my arm. Because next thing you know, my hand was in so much pain. In my dream, the pain transferred over to somebody smashing my hand with a mallet (cartoon style), leave it crushed. I awoke with pain and just remember clutching my hand in pain! I can't remember if I slept on it, but it would make sense that I did. Today, my right hand and foot feel frozen. I feel like I am leaning up against an iceberg! But the weird thing is, aside of the coldness, I feel like, an internal burn. It feels like a glowing burn I guess around the bone (hand and foot), but it is freeezing! Right now, it's just my right hand and foot. My left side is cold, as usual, but not frozen.

I don't smoke, I drink occasionally, and am low weight. I don't eat too unhealthy, but I don't exercise regularly.

And this is not the first time I've experienced this. I mentioned this to my doctor and she said that it may be Reynauds and just left it at that. But my fingers never go white. If anything, they go red. My right hand (more problematic) seems to be permanently redder than the right (wasn't always this way). As far as my frozen foot (sometimes it is both or either), I thought that maybe my sneaker soles weren't thick enough and the cold was rising from the concrete floors so I'd wear extra socks. I don't think that's the issue anymore...

Should I worry about this, or just ignore it? Being cold is no fun, but if it's nothing, i'll just deal. I just don't want it to be anything more serious than just a possibly low natural temperature.

Hi well it is possible the doctor could be right about Raynaud's but there are other possible causes as well such as something pressing on nerves in the head or spine and an MRI could check for that possibility.

I don't get colds or the flu, but leave it to me to have something weird like Raynaud's... The pinch nerve would actually explain some other ailments though.. Not sure if my doctor would order one just based on my symptoms though. She pretty much blew me off when I first mentioned the coldness.

I think it's weird that only my right side is affected. Like, my right hand and foot is cold to the bone!! And a bit achy :(.

Not everyones hands/feet discolor whitish with Raynaud's, some actually get very red and burning feeling. I've had it for years and believe it or not it only affects a couple of fingers on my left hand.

When out in the cold those 2 fingers will turn whitish if I don't come in as soon as I feel them getting really cold. Most times they do turn whitish and then when returning to normal get bright red.

It could be a pinched nerve as well, so if it continues I would definately have the Dr. have you see a specialist. Don't let them blow you off if it gets too painful or really bothers you.

Best wishes...JJ...
